Erik Løber

Erik has had several roles in his 12 years at Vestas Wind Systems A/S (Vestas). One of his roles has been PLM and Supply Chain IT Architect. His focus is on processes, data and how to get IT supporting the business needs for PLM and supply chain. Erik is as comfortable with innovation and product development process improvements as he is with the more technical sides of IT.

Presentation topic:

PLM vs ERP – How Vestas defined the border and interaction

One of the long-lasting discussions is the positioning of PLM and ERP and how they should interact. There is no single correct answer to this. Erik will tell about how Vestas approached this and how they solved it. This will be an input to a discussion which gets even more relevant and difficult as both PLM and ERP provides broader process and functionality coverage.

About Vestas:

Founded in 1898 as a blacksmith shop in western Denmark, Vestas started producing wind turbines in 1979, and has since gained a market-leading position with more than 62 GW of installed wind power and more than 42 GW under service globally.
